Strategic Collaboration – Central European Institute of Technology

The Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC) is located in Brno, in the Czech Republic. It will host 600 scientists and state-of-the-art equiped laboratories (including high throughput -omics facilities). The campus receives funding as a European Centre of Excellence, with a variety of international partner institutes. The Ceitec Bioinformatics unit, in particular, is partnered with the Boku Vienna Science Chair of Bioinformatics, with funding for a regular exchange program and joint research seminars.

Areas of collaboration include methodological development and research in the areas of deep integrated analysis of high-throughput data, as well as the quantitative calibration of such data.

Funding

Support for this project was won through application to the European Union Structural Funds by ways of the Operational Program R & D for innovation, priority axis 1 – European Centres of Excellence.
