Similar results were obtained independent of normalization method.

Standard dapple image analysis was inferior to BlueFuse standard image
analysis.

This is because dapple does not return intensities for unfound
spots. Defaulting all unfound and rejected spots to averge locations
and sizes improved performance and results for this "tweaked dapple"
were similar to results from BlueFuse.

It is expected that other image analysis tools that give "no answer"
for some spots will benefit equally from a similar "tweak".
